BBHE reduces CEU Requirements to 30 hours

About Licensure

Social Workers in the state of Arizona are regulated by the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (BBHE).  The Arizona licensure law is a "practice act" that restricts the practice of psychotherapy to behavioral health professionals licensed at the highest level.  In the case of social work, the highest level is LCSW.

Levels of Licensure

  • LBSW -- Licensed Bachelor Social Worker
  • LMSW -- Licensed Master Social Worker
  • LCSW -- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
