This comprehensive 12-hour workshop is designed to review supervision skills and meet the clinical supervision requirements of the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Through presentation, discussion, and role-play, the following aspects of supervision will be explored as we link theory and professional experiences to best practice:
1. Identify and define the purpose, role, and functions of supervision;
2. Define theories and models of supervision;
3. Explore and apply the skill sets necessary to provide oversight and guidance to a supervisee who diagnoses, creates treatment plans, and treats clients;
4. Explore the purpose and practice of both individual and group supervision in social work.
5. Review recent research related to the practice of clinical supervision.
