"Motivational Interviewing and Ethical Procedures" (3 CEUs ethics) presented by Maria Grimshaw, LCSW. 

This workshop will discuss basic concepts of Motivational Interviewing and ethical considerations.  Included, is a discussion of the variables that influence the process and how it leads to positive outcomes for the client.  Major topics to be covered includes:

I. Working in a client centered practice
II. Concepts of MI
III. Operationalizing MI in an ethical manner

Maria Grimshaw, LCSW currently is employed at ASU Counseling Services as the Director of Outreach and Consultation.  She also is part of a private practice in Phoenix working with directly with adults, couples and adolescents.
