     The National Association of Social Workers (NASW), is pleased to announce that Brandie Reiner has been selected as their new Executive Director for the state of Arizona. Brandie will be responsible for directing and guiding Arizona’s social work programs in the areas of Practice, Public Policy, and Professional & Workforce Development. In this role, she will work across Arizona and nationally to identify, create, and implement strategic social work priorities, oversee program activities that serve the membership, and lead efforts to shape the future of the social work in the areas of policy, practice, social work education, social work research, and community organizing.


     Brandie has applied her social work background in a variety of nonprofit and government agencies including the American Heart Association and Congresswoman Krysten Sinema’s district and DC Offices. She most recently served as director of public policy and communications for Protecting Arizona’s Family Coalition (PAFCO). She brings extensive experience influencing federal, state and local policy, building community coalitions and nonprofit programming.


     Brandie holds a master’s degrees in social work from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and psychology from the University of Sioux Falls. She currently teaches courses related to public policy and macro human behavior in the social environment for ASU’s School of Social Work. Brandie is a former Board of Governors member for the Human Rights Campaign and currently services as a board member of Devereux Arizona.

  • Senator Lela Alston- Elected Public Official of the Year
  • Eddie Sissons- Citizen of the Year
