Join NASWAZ Branch 1 for a networking meeting at the Coco's Bakery Restaurant in Phoenix.

The Branch 1 Networking meetings will remain the third Thursday of each month. The meeting will feature networking and an opportunity to earn 1 CEU! 

This month's topic is: Covert Emotional Incest: A Gateway to Addiction

Covert Emotional Incest: A Gateway to Addiction Program content focuses on topics related to psychological practice, education, or research other than application of psychological assessment and/or intervention methods that are supported by contemporary scholarship grounded in established research procedures.

This workshop will combine didactic and experiential learning to define Covert Emotional Incest, identify its traumatic underpinnings and correlation with addiction. You will return to your practice with practical and applicable clinical interventions! 1) Define Covert Emotional Incest 2) Describe at least one way Covert Emotional Incest corresponds to addictive behavior. 3) Apply 2 action-oriented interventions for reducing the negative effects of Covert Emotional Incest.

She is the author of Covert Emotional Incest: The Hidden Sexual Abuse, A Story of Hope and Healing. Her passion is to utilize action methods in both client treatment and professional training to optimize laughter while learning.
