Objectives:
Identify and discuss the psychosocial issues of organ transplant patients.
Discuss and analyze the social work ethical principles in the psychosocial evaluation for organ transplant selection.
Verbalize the personal experiences of transplant recipients through interaction with consumer panel
Charlie Thomas has been employed as a transplant social worker with Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona since 1985 and served as the Dialysis/Transplant Consultant for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community 1998-2012. He provides direct services to kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant patients as well as living kidney donors.

Note: Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix is located on the east side of 12th ST just south of McDowell. Training will be held in the Banner Institutes Building. There is a parking to the north and we also have valet parking.
