Professional Promotions Committee

The Professional Promotions Committee’s primary responsibility is to develop and monitor the Chapter’s Social Work Reinvestment Initiative plan, an integrated action plan designed to unify and advance the social work profession. Based on the guidelines provided by the National Association of Social Workers, the action plan will include goals in four areas: Legislative and Political Advocacy, Public Education, Workforce Development, and Stakeholder Engagement. Strategies to accomplish the goals will include recruiting new social workers, retaining current social workers, retraining experienced social workers, and reactivating community investment in social work. The Committee is also responsible for establishing a mentor program for new members.
